The AdSense control panel, the heart of it all. This is where you can create, design and optimize your ads to get the most revenue per click. It really isnt hard to understand at first, but there is so much you can do with it. Let’s take a look.

First head over to Google.com/AdSense and sign in. Once in the control panel you are presented with a few things. The first, and probably the most saught out is how much money you have made so far. The really cool thing about the Google AdSense control panel, is that it is near real time. From here you can change configuration settings, add new ads, manage channels, create some custom reporting and so much more.

TIP: From time to time Google will give you tips or hints highlighted behind a green box. Read and take advantage of them. They are usually very useful for help bring attention to a tool, or product you are currently not using on your websites.

Here’s a little homework. Take a look and play with some of the tabs at the top, take a look at the various types of ads you can create and keep track, either digital or on paper of what you would like to get out of the tool.

Most of your time will be in both the reporting are and the managing your ads area. And this makes sense. You want to create ads, then learn from the statistics and figure out how to make them better.
