There is no exact science to predicting revenue or income with AdSense, but understanding advertising in general and how some major programs function, you can get some what of a sense.

Here is a real life example to understanding advertisement budgets. You are an advertiser using Google AdWords, you have a budget of $1,000 for 1 month. You start on the first of the month and activate your campaign. Some advertisers will blow all that $1,000 real quick and not let it last the whole month.

This is what we don’t want, because if the majority of advertisers do that, then we will have a very strong first few weeks of the month, then near the end, it will be low income.

Long Term and Short Term Budgets
Some advertisers will have short term or long term budgets. Some will have both. Short term budgets could be weekly, or monthly. The next two examples will show two diferent budget styles. Example 1 – I will use $1,000 a month on Google AdWords. And my long term budget would be I will use $12,000 yearly on Google AdWords. Example 2 – I will use $12,000 for the whole year.

Example 1 would be the better budget to have because you are guaranteed to have $1,000 a month flowing through the AdSense world. Example 2 could run out in the first 4 months if not done correctly.

Ways to avoid that are to not put all of your eggs in one basket. Meaning, look for other sources of income online outside of AdSense, just make sure it doesn’t break AdSense Terms of Service to be using another service at the same time.
